Lessons On Legacy

With the new MJ movie out one thing you can't deny is the impact of excellence on legacy. Yes people have other things to say that contaminate the purity of that particular story, but just as you cannot divorce the allegations from the legacy, you can't divorce the excellence.

The lesson is - you can't control other peoples narratives. You can only control the part you do.

That's why I focus on small things and think attention to detail is important. Some people call that perfectionism - maybe it is. But the standard of legacy - (and if you are not trying to build something that lasts or matters past you what's the point?) - is excellence. And it's something I try and strive towards.
